“You know, just use it! It’s like a little magic secret key to living a bit more vividly — because you’re on a quest!” ~ Sam Furness
Sam Furness says nothing gives him greater joy than being an architect of spaces and moments where people really feel they can express themselves creatively.
In that spirit, he founded Creative Quests, a worldwide community and creative playground for people fueled by curiosity.
We had a delightful conversation about his new Questers’ Guide, intentional curiosity, the value of navigational practices, seeing the unknown as a place of play, inviting in the world’s generosity, questing out loud, and rendering ourselves brave, tender and malleable.
I think just starting with trying to be creative is the wrong approach. I think you have to start with curiosity, because it’s the doorway,..it’s a portal. That’s what curiosity is to me, it’s an invitation to step through a lens into seeing the world differently. And on the other side of that door is creativity.
